Shopping for Nepal Rudraksha is easier when you separate three questions: which Mukhi you need, what size is comfortable, and whether the listing can be ordered directly or needs an enquiry. GemKrishna’s catalogue lists Nepal loose-bead product pages for Mukhi 1–18; its custom mala information describes a selection extending to 21 Mukhi, with some types quoted personally. Some listings show selectable sizes and listed prices; some higher Mukhi options are marked for enquiry or quotation. Treat these as seller-published details and recheck the live listing before placing an order.
Start with the listed Mukhi range
GemKrishna’s catalogue lists Nepal product pages for Mukhi 1 through 18, as well as special forms such as Ganesh, Gauri Shankar and Garbh Gauri. Its custom mala information also describes a selection extending to 21 Mukhi and says Nepal 16–21 Mukhi are quoted personally. This means a buyer should distinguish a general builder range from a directly purchasable, size-specific loose-bead listing.
In GemKrishna’s catalogue, Nepal Mukhi 1–15 have public product pages with size examples. Mukhi 16, 17 and 18 are identified as enquiry items rather than listings with public size-and-price variants. The public information provided here does not give individual loose-bead product pages or prices for Nepal 19–21. Ask GemKrishna whether a particular type can be sourced and request a quotation rather than assuming it is in stock or has a set price.
Read sizes as options, not a guarantee of the exact bead
Many Nepal pages show common size choices such as 14–16 mm and 16–18 mm, then larger options that vary by Mukhi. The listed examples include a Nepal 5 Mukhi option at 14–16 mm and a large 30–32 mm option; Nepal 1 Mukhi examples extend from 14–16 mm through 24–26 mm. These are examples of published variants, not a promise that every Mukhi has identical size choices. Review the exact page and selection.
Choose size for wearability and appearance. A larger bead can occupy more space in a pendant or strand; a smaller selection may suit a compact design. Size alone does not mean greater spiritual effect or better quality. Natural specimens may differ in outline and surface, so clarify whether an image shows the selected individual bead or illustrates the listing.
Use special-form pages carefully
GemKrishna’s Nepal catalogue also has Ganesh, Gauri Shankar and Garbh Gauri product pages. For example, published Ganesh options include 14–16 mm, 16–18 mm and 32+ mm. Gauri Shankar examples include 14–16 mm, 16–18 mm and 38–40 mm. The catalogue lists Garbh Gauri with a default selection rather than a set of millimetre variants. These distinctions are useful when planning a design, but do not infer unlisted dimensions.
The pages describe traditional associations for these forms. Such cultural descriptions can help a buyer identify a category; they should not be treated as a guarantee of personal, health or supernatural outcomes.
Know when to ask for a quotation
If a page says enquiry or the selected size is not shown, contact the seller with the exact Mukhi, origin, desired size and intended format. Ask whether it is available, what the current price is, whether the quoted item is one specific specimen, and what documentation accompanies it. A quotation is preferable to extrapolating a price from another Mukhi or origin.
For a practical example, someone choosing between a standard Nepal 5 Mukhi in a listed size and a Nepal 17 Mukhi should not compare only the displayed prices: GemKrishna marks the latter as an enquiry listing. First confirm availability and quotation, then compare size, photos and report arrangements.
Check bead-specific documentation and report charges
GemKrishna’s buying page states that a free one-on-one GJSPC X-ray report is included for each bead priced at INR 1,000 or more. For a bead below INR 1,000, the stated additional charge is INR 150 per bead, irrespective of cart value. Therefore, a low-priced bead does not acquire a free report simply because the full order exceeds INR 1,000.
The same page says displayed sample reports are references, not reports for the exact bead delivered. The delivered report has its own unique number and findings. Ask whether your selected item qualifies for an included report and how the report will identify the specimen. A seller Authenticity Card is separate from the laboratory report. GJSPC’s published service description explains the kinds of details its Rudraksha reports may include; read the actual delivered report for its specific scope.
Make an informed order
Use the GemKrishna buying page and the relevant product page together. Confirm the selected Mukhi, origin label, dimensions, live price, stock or quotation status, report fee and returns terms. The seller states that its authenticity policy includes a lifetime authenticity guarantee and describes a refund if a product is shown not authentic; read the formal policy and conditions before purchase. Standard returns and custom-item terms may differ.
Keep a copy of the listing and any written clarification. If exact-piece documentation matters to you, request that the seller confirm the report relates to the bead being supplied rather than relying on a sample image. This simple step is especially useful for enquiry-only choices, where details are agreed directly.
Four frequently asked questions
Does GemKrishna show every Nepal Mukhi as a direct purchase?
No. GemKrishna’s catalogue shows some direct product pages and enquiry-only higher Mukhi options. Confirm live availability.
Are all Nepal beads the same size?
No. Size variants differ between listings. Use the size options on the exact product page.
Does a sample report belong to my selected bead?
No. GemKrishna describes displayed sample reports as references. The delivered report has its own number and findings.
When is an X-ray report free?
According to the buying page, each bead priced at least INR 1,000 includes one; below that, the stated fee is INR 150 per bead.
